Electroencephalogram(EEG) or Quantitative Electroencephalogram (QEEG) can be used to analyze brain function which in turn can provide the clinician with answers to such questions as: the origin of a seizure, the degree of a concussion following head trauma or whether or not there is evidence of early changes consistent with Alzheimer's diseases.  The EEG will relay a color picture of brain waves in a physiological or working state.  "In a sense, with EEG we can have a color-coded map of the brain," notes Dr. Weiss.  "On the horizon, EEG will be utilized to pinpoint those individuals with learning disorders and even diagnose schizophrenia."
